FontSync Suite: Terms for scripting FontSync operations

Classes:

Class application: An application program.

Properties:

name international text [r/o] -- the name of the application

version version [r/o] -- the version of the application

quit delay immediate/default/never -- specifies how application quits automatically ...

quit delay integer -- ... or the time in seconds the application will idle before quiting

Class match options: On and Off FontSync reference matching options

Properties:

on options a list of font names/font types/glyphs/encodings/QuickDraw metrics/ATSUI metrics/kerning/WorldScript layout/advanced layout/print encoding/missing data mismatches [r/o] -- the matching options that are on

off options a list of font names/font types/glyphs/encodings/QuickDraw metrics/ATSUI metrics/kerning/WorldScript layout/advanced layout/print encoding/missing data mismatches [r/o] -- the matching options that are off

Class match result: a result of a FontSync match

Properties:

problem reported mismatch/noRef [r/o] -- The kind of problem reported

name international text [r/o] -- The name of the problem font

ID small integer [r/o] -- The font family ID of the problem font. May be -1 if the font doesn’t belong to any family.

style small integer [r/o] -- The style of the problem font. If the font ID is -1, this property is meaningless and may not be present.

Events:

create font profile: Create a FontSync profile of the active fonts

create font profile alias -- the file in which to save the profile

[with creator type class] -- the creator code of the file in which to save the profile

[version integer] -- the desired profile format version number

[using font reference version integer] -- the desired font reference version to create

[font ref version integer] -- the desired font reference version to create

match against: Match fonts against the given profile

match against alias -- the profile file to match against

[using fonts from alias] -- use the fonts in this profile instead of the current active fonts

[with match options match options] -- matching options which override system default settings

Result: a list of match result -- a list of problem fonts

quit: Quit application

quit

run: Sent to an application when it is double-clicked
